The lock plate has some initials on it.
I have up for sale a consignment rifle Bore is appx 45 cal & in good condition for the age Rifling is present the breech plug can be seen shining when a light is shot down the bore.
The owner is selling off some of his 60 years of collection
Twist 1/40 using the ram rod tight patch measuring system.
Hook Breech Barrel held in with one wedge is octaganol and has a fixed bayonet lug. The 20 "+ Bayonet stamed on the inside flat is PJ it slides on & is held in place by a thumb screw.
Bayonet is is good condition still retains a varnish has some blister corrosion.
A good cleaning & some TLC & you'll be ready for Boar or War.
Barrel is appx 33-3/4" in length x 7/8"+-
Rear sight is a replacement
Front sight appears to be orginial
The Tang has a dove tail cut into it for a rear sight.
Steel furniture in good condition
Lock is strong and holds hammer face has a chip missing at the cup. Does not effect function it's just a tad bigger opening from orginial. Inside the lock is in really nice condition!

OAL 65" from butt end to muzzle

Ram rod is metal
Drawback is the stock was cracked when th eowner purchased it back around 1975-76
He shot a .433 Round Ball in matches and did well even with the cracks.
IMPO the stock was most likely nice when new but all theknots & swirles were it's down fall.
It can be repaired with accura glass and good pins. Nose of the stock has been replaced most likely when it broke back when.
This is a consignment piece not instrested in trades
