SOLD VERY RARE 1894 Mosin Nagant M-91 France Chatellerault Arsenal

This is a rare, very early 1894 dated Mosin Nagant M-91 produced in France at the Chatellerault Arsenal for the Russian military in 1894.  After the Russians decided to adopt the M-91 as their service rifle in 1891, they contracted with Chatellerault to produce these M-91 until their factories were able to take over full production.  Chatellerault produced rifles from 1892 to 1895.

This rifle does not have an “SA stamp proving Finnish army use but it does have Finn style sling swivels and the rear sight is renumbered to meters in the the Finnish style.  The rifle does have a “M” stamped on the left side of the barrel which could indicate that it was sold out of service from the Finnish Army.

Here is your chance to own a rare, 128 year old Chatellerault M-91.
