SOLD ARISAKA TYPE 38 6.5 JAPANESE Matching Numbers Nice Bore

Arisaka Type 38 Rifle with Intact Mum 6.5 x 50 Japanese Kokura Arsenal Series 26 Matching

This is a Japanese Type 38 6.5x50 Arisaka rifle made at the Kokura Arsenal. The bolt matches the receiver.
If is read the references correctly, this rifle is a Series 26 rifle made between 1933 and 1940. The rifle is in very good condition as you can see in the photos. There is some battle damage on the right fore-end near the front barrel band and some on the buttstock. Neither effects the rifles ability to shoot.

The mum is cleanly stamped and has not been defaced. I have heard that the rifles that the Japanese had when they surrendered had the Mums defaced and those that were not, were captured in combat zone before the surrender. I believe that this is a veteran bring back rifle. There are no import markings on this rifle.

Nice Bore

I have ammo for this
