Swedish M-96 Mauser, Finnish, Finn, Finland, SA stamped, 6.5 x 55 Swede, Carl Gustav, 1920, Matching except for butt plate, Stock Disk, Sling included, Exceptionally Rare

This Swedish Mauser was used by Finland during the Winter War.  Finland received 77,000 M-96 rifles from Sweden for their use during the December 1939 to March 1940 Winter War with the Soviet Union.  After the Winter War ended, 25,000 M-96 rifles were returned to Sweden.  This is one of those rifles.  It has a small importer stamp on the barrel.  The rifles that remained in Finland were imported to the U. S. Before the import stamp was required proving that this was one the rifles returned to Sweden after the Winter War.

It is a M-96 manufactured by Carl Gustav in Sweden in 1920.  The barrel has been threaded for a blank firing device.  According to the stock disk, the bore measures 6.50 and is in No. 1 condition.

All the numbers on this rifle match except for the butt plate.  The cleaning rod is unnumbered.  A Swedish Mauser sling is included.  This is one accurate rifle.

The bore is in good condition, can't get a good picture. Ran a tight patch oiled several times no drag or hang ups.

The threaded muzzle portion was for a blank adapter to shred wooded bullets
