M-38 carbine, Mosin Nagant, 1939 date, 7.62 x 54r,
matching, Soviet, Russian, Rare date,
correct early M-38 stock, Izhevsk, M-38 sling
This is a 1939 dated M-38.
This was the lowest year of production for M-38’s with only 34,508 being
produced. The number all match on this
rifle and it has a correct M-38 stock with no finger groves by the rear barrel
bands.
I cannot say that this rifle did not go through
refurbishment but it was made in 1939. A
rifle this early could have been in service with the Soviets from 1939 in the
Winter War with the Finns until the end of WW2.
In all probability, it saw much use.
It is counter bored but it is not your typical refurbed Mosin Nagant.
Included with this rifle is a correct M-38 sling and dog
collars. You won’t find many 1939 dated
M-38’s out there. Good luck on your
bidding.

Bore is nice
All the rifles I have listed-I.E. Mosin’s, TULA,MAS , Enfield’s,
TIKKA ect. all need a good cleaning
bores are good for the age.
I OCCASSIONALY TAKE bore pictures -I do not clean nor inspect - If
I see something out of the typical age & use condition it will be noted.
