This is a Finn captured, 1936 dated, Tula 91/30.  The blued bolt and floor plate match the serial number.  All the parts that can be marked are marked with a Tula arsenal star except for upper barrel band spring.  The butt plate is unnumbered.

The rifle has a “pot belly” Finnish stock with a “Z” or “N” in crossed cannons cartouche depending non which way you are looking at it.  The stock is spliced and has Finn sling swivels and the splice has war time, rounded fingers. 

The bolt is blued and matches the rifles serial number.  I have only personally seen 2 or 3 Finn Mosin Nagants with blued bolts in all my time collecting Finnish Mosin Nagants.  The hex receiver is dated 1936 and is marked with a Tula star.  This rifle has been fitted with a stacked, bladed Finn front sight.

This is a 9mm Luger that used by the Finnish military during the Winter War period until the end of hostilities with the Soviet Union.  Finland purchased 8000 or so Lugers from DWM in Germany in the 1920’s in 7.65 Parabellum.  The Finns designated the pistol the M/23. 

These pistols were used heavily during Finlands wars with the Soviets.  Many of the original pistols were lost or destroyed.  After the Winter War and continuing into the post war period, many of these worn out

Lugers were rebarreled with 9 mm barrels made at the Tikka factory. By 1951, the Finnish military only had 3724 of the original 8000 Lugers remaining.

This pistol has the 9mm Tikka barrel and the left hand grip has had the I. D. Disk removed.  The serial number indicates that is one of the early Lugers imported into Finland in the 1920’s.

SOLD M38 Finnish 7.62*54R SA Stamp 1941 Izhevsk Arsenal

 This a very rare “SA” stamped, 1941 dated M-38 carbine.  A Finnish “SA” stamped M-38 is listed as one of the rarest of all Mosin Nagants.  This rifle has no import stamp indicating that it was imported in the 1950’s before import stamping were required by law.

It was produced in the Izhevsk Arsenal in 1941 and is “SA” and “D” stamped. It has a second model M-38 stock with a clear “CCCP” cartouche on the buttstock.  Included is a Soviet/Finn canvas 91/30 sling and dog collars and cleaning rod.
