You are purchasing a well used 7mm A-Bolt.
I don't have any history on it other than it was neglected. The bore is nice and trigger is light and crisp. Shoots great , she just looks ugly.
I took 360 grit and oil to the barrel & magazine to see how deep the corrosion when under the old oil and crud. I figure this was a truck gun. A good Parkerizing and a little wood work and you'll have a pretty firearm. And we all know the better they look, the better they shoot.
Comes with a Bushnell 3x9 model unknown.

New York six constitutional amendments Nov 5th
On November 5, voters across the state will be asked to pass or defeat six
constitutional amendments appearing on this year’s ballot. Below is the NYS
Conservative Party’s position on each. I fully concur with their stance on
each proposition.
-Carl PaladinoMost of the summaries are straight forward, however the most controversial proposal, asking voters to approve or disapprove casino gambling (Proposal #1), is written to suggest that approval will lower your taxes and provide more money to your schools. It is permitted to present a one-sided view; however, it certainly is deceptive since the language in the Bill passed by the Legislature does not include the benefits the proposal suggests the voters will receive if approved.
The New York State Conservative Party recommends a NO vote on Proposal #1.
For Proposal #2, we recommend a YES vote; Proposal #3 a NO vote, Proposal #4 a YES vote, Proposal #5 a YES vote and Proposal #6 (raising the retirement age of Judges) a NO vote.
Our positions are stated in the following 4-page synopsis of the 6-ballot proposals for 2013.
Synopsis is as follows:
Conservative Party Positions
on 2013 Statewide Ballot Questions
PROPOSAL NUMBER ONE, AN AMENDMENT TO AUTHORIZE CASINO GAMING
The
Conservative Party recommends a NO vote on Proposal Number One.
Authorizing Casino Gaming
The proposed amendment to
section 9 of article 1 of the Constitution would allow the Legislature to
authorize up to seven casinos in New York State for the legislated purposes of
promoting job growth, increasing aid to schools, and permitting local
governments to lower property taxes through revenues generated. Shall the
amendment be approved?
The Conservative Party of New
York State, since its inception in 1962, has promoted job growth through lower
taxes, encouraged localities to lower taxes and believe that schools should
provide a solid education for our youth. The Conservative Party has been
consistent in its Legislative Program calling for the need to reduce taxes and
promote job growth and has stressed if we fail to provide jobs and remain a
high tax state, we will lose our citizens to states with less taxes. The
proposed amendment, while it paints a rosy picture, will not accomplish the
stated goal. Casino Gambling will produce new problems as evidenced in the
areas where casinos are currently located. In 1966, the Legislature told New
York citizens, if they approved the Lottery, their school taxes would be
reduced. Every year school taxes go up, despite the millions people spend on
lottery tickets. It is time to close the money spigot that gives the
legislature more money to spend.
PROPOSAL NUMBER TWO, AN AMENDMENT TO ALLOW ADDITIONAL SERVICE CREDITS TO DISABLED VETERANS
The
Conservative Party recommends a YES vote on Proposal Number Two.
Additional Civil Service Credit
for Veterans with Disabilities Certified Post-Appointment
The proposed amendment to
section 6 of article 5 of the Constitution would entitle a veteran who has
received civil service credit for a civil service appointment or promotion and
subsequently is certified as disabled to additional civil service credit at a
subsequent appointment or promotion. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?
The Conservative Party of New
York State holds our disabled veterans in the highest regard and is cognizant
of the sacrifices made in the name of freedom for their fellow citizens.
PROPOSAL NUMBER THREE, AN AMENDMENT TO EXCLUDE CERTAIN INDEBTEDNESS
The
Conservative Party recommends a NO vote on Proposal Number Three.
Exclusion of Indebtedness
Contracted for Sewage Facilities
The proposed amendment to
Article 8, section 5 of the Constitution would extend for ten years, until
January 1, 2024, the authority of counties, cities, towns, and villages to
exclude from their constitutional debt limits indebtedness contracted for the
construction or reconstruction of sewage facilities. Shall the proposed
amendment be approved?
This proposal first went into
effect on January 1, 1962 and has been renewed repeatedly since then. The
Conservative Party does not approve of government entities separating out
certain debts from their constitutional debt limit as it does not give a true picture
to its citizens as to the total indebtedness of the locality, therefore we
cannot support this proposal.
PROPOSAL NUMBER FOUR, AN AMENDMENT TO SETTLE DISPUTED TITLE
IN FOREST PRESERVE
The
Conservative Party recommends a YES vote on Proposal Number Four.
Settling Disputed Title in the
Forest Preserve
The proposed amendment to
section 1 of article 14 of the Constitution would authorize the Legislature to
settle longstanding disputes between the State and private entities over
ownership of certain parcels of land in the town of Long Lake, Hamilton County.
In exchange for giving up its claim to disputed parcels, the State would get
land to be incorporated into the forest preserve that would benefit the forest
preserve more than the disputed parcels currently do. Shall the proposed
amendment be approved?
The State Constitution
generally forbids the lease, sale, exchange, or taking of any forest preserve
land. The proposed amendment would allow the Legislature to settle 100-year-old
disputes between the State and private parties over ownership of certain
parcels of land in the forest preserve by giving up the State's claim to
disputed parcels. In exchange, the State would get land to be incorporated into
the forest preserve. The land exchange would occur only if the Legislature
determines that the land to be conveyed to the State would benefit the forest
preserve more than the disputed parcels do.
PROPOSAL NUMBER FIVE, AN AMENDMENT TO EXCHANGE LAND
TO NYCO MINERALS, INC.
The
Conservative Party recommends a YES vote on Proposal Number Five.
In Relation to a Land Exchange
in the State Forest Preserve with NYCO Minerals, Inc.
The proposed amendment to
section 1 of article 14 of the Constitution would authorize the Legislature to
convey forest preserve land located in the town of Lewis, Essex County, to NYCO
Minerals, a private company that plans on expanding an existing mine that
adjoins the forest preserve land. In exchange, NYCO Minerals would give the
State at least the same amount of land of at least the same value, with a
minimum assessed value of $1 million, to be added to the forest preserve. When
NYCO Minerals finishes mining, it would restore the condition of the land and
return it to the forest preserve. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?
As with proposal number four,
the State Constitution generally forbids the lease, sale, exchange, or taking
of any forest preserve land. NYCO Minerals is a producer of wollastonite, a
mineral that has industrial importance worldwide. In the United States,
wollastonite is mined in Willsboro, New York and Gouverneur, New York. This
proposed amendment would allow NYCO Minerals to expand and explore for the
mineral, keep people employed and still protect the forest preserve.
The
Conservative Party recommends a NO vote on Proposal Number Six.
Increasing the Age until which
Certain State Judges Can Serve
The proposed amendment to the
Constitution, amending sections 2 and 25 of article 6, would increase the
maximum age until which certain state judges may serve as follows: (a) a
Justice of the Supreme Court would be eligible for five additional two-year
terms after the present retirement age of 70, instead of the three such terms
currently authorized; and (b) a Judge of the Court of Appeals who reaches the
age of 70 while in office would be permitted to remain in service on the Court
for up to 10 years beyond the present retirement age of 70 in order to complete
the term to which that Judge was appointed. Shall the proposed amendment be
approved?
(Additional information on
other side)
Currently
a Justice of the Supreme Court is eligible for three additional two-year terms
after the present retirement age of 70, this proposal would allow them to serve
an additional 4 years while also allowing a Judge on the Court of Appeals to
remain in service for up to 10 additional years. The Conservative Party
acknowledges that citizens are living longer and healthier lives; however,
there is no imperative need to keep judges on the bench for extended terms
while electing new Supreme Court Judges. A Court of Appeals Judge is appointed
and we strongly believe the citizens should elect all judges and be responsible
to the citizens, therefore we reject extended the term of the Members of the
Court of Appeals.

No Discounts and No Apologies, Just Send Cash
No discounts and no apologies, just send cash
Feel free to pass this on:
No discounts and no apologies, just send cash
I don't know about Wal-Marts policy. I do know if you want a box of cartridges from me come Jan 15 2014 it will cost you $10.00 for the NICS check. That is if NICS will accept a NICS for ammo purchases. See, I can't find that section on my NICS form and the "other" block on the 4473 is for serial numbered receivers & the like.
My guesstamate is the state is waiting for sportsmen to tell the state how to do it. Like sportsmen have done so many other times in the past. You know, how there always seems to be a few select individuals who feel another infringement isn't so bad that they can give up just this one time because they feel that is a good compromise.
Which brings me to a line I use to use at meetings; "Sportsmen have compromised themselves out of the hunting, fishing & trapping".
Come this November many firearms owners will, well maybe; flock to the polls to elect all those politicians that signed onto the "Repeal Law" declarations or as I call it the paper tiger firearms ban repeal.
Oddly enough in 30 plus years of meetings, Letters, gun shows I'm still trying to remember where or how all these new supporters sprang from out of thin air. I can say if you have the time visit MAG. That's Mayor Bloomberg's anti gun web site . Look up all those local politicians who have signed the paper tiger & see if you can match any up with the good Mayor's firearms ban-wagon.
I'll say this again to control Albany you have to control the local political body. Remove the lifers from local politics and then you can control Albany.
I ask you to make a mental or written note of people who attended your meetings. Then look back in the clubs archives for the meeting attendance roster and tell yourself how many of these new 2nd amendment supports have attend in the past?
Yes it sure is swell the donations are pouring in to fight the big battle. Unfortunately it is decades late. What really riles me is not one Judge in NY has stood up and declared the firearms ban unconstitutional. It's not like sportsmen haven't see several federal decisions on firearms ban's and law's the last few years be overturned.
My inbox is flooded with meeting dates, opinions on how we can overcome firearms bans from people I've never had correspondence from in the past.
I'm sure many of us have seen these devout supporters in the past. You know as they walked by our tables at sporting shows and the like. The ones who came up and asked what "you're" doing to protect their "rights". The ones who flipped you off as the walked by laughing and yelled back over there shoulder they'd never join again because they were sent to many letters for donations and membership applications. They felt that advertising was a waste of money.
This past July I went to my office and started sorting out paperwork in anticipation of selling our home so we can escape from New York. I pulled out hundreds of letter to the NRA, legislators letters from four states that I've lived in. Dozens of magazine & newsletter articles several of which dated back into the 1930 & 40's. All had the same cadence, we must fight them now . Never give an inch, it our rights being trampled on.
I looked over much of the correspondences, the dates of meetings I sat in. As I thought back on all he hunting and fishing I missed out on protecting my rights while so many others were out enjoying themselves. Others who gave a crap about anything other than themselves.
I took a full pick-up truck load of paperwork or 40 years worth to the recycle center in July which included electronic files as well.
I was asked by a friend this past summer if I ever thought I had wasted my time being involved in all the politics. I replied with out hesitation YES. My wife once commented on how if I had been paid for all the thousands of hours spent doing all the work I've done that I'd be a millionaire.
Now days bullet and press sales have drop off from the first half of the year. Sportsmen are looking for big discounts on components. Unfortunately after the gougers and hoarders cleared the shelves of ammo and supplies the people now expect discount store pricing. Some feel it is my best interest to give up even more that I had in the past. I respond to this arrogance by telling them a story.
Had a guy at work who always wanted me to write a letter for him. He never belong to any association except his hunting camp. He work hundreds of hours of overtime every year making well into the 100k range. He never purchased a raffle ticket did nothing but ask for others to do for him.
So one day he asked me if I was going to attend a meeting in Albany. I replied, NO. He asked why? Can't afford to fight for you any longer. If you want me to go I'll need to be paid to take the day off. Besides I need my vacation time for hunting!
No discounts for memberships regardless of the profession. It is the profession you choose and you are well paid for what you do. Not everyone is a hero and those who ride the cape of heroism shame on you.
No discounts and no apologies to those who sat idly by letting a few of us fight for them. Again, No discounts and no apologies to anyone just send cash.

Comment from a GunBroker.co user on NY
MOST OF US hope we can get
this country back from the IDIOTS that are taking our freedom from us. My
Grandpa came here in 1870 because they took the only way he had to get food and
that was with a GUN.
He said stay in Poland and die or come to the USA through Ellis Island and possibly live. He was 16 when he took the challenge.
HE WOULD REALLY BE PISSED OF TODAY AS THINGS ARE GOING. ALL OF THESE SHOOTINGS ARE BECAUSE OF MENTAL ISSUES. These people will turn to other ways of killing if guns are removed. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU ALSO IN NY. GOD BLESS.
###
See, some of us don't forget where we came from. Unlike the politicians who think they are part of the group that can help. Help themselves that is.

NY State Police guideline instructions to enforce Cuomo's Firearms Ban
02-Oct-2013
NY State Police now have a guideline with instructions on how to enforce Cuomo's gun law.
This is very dangerous stuff here. Please pass this on to your friends and family.
Here is the document of the police guidline on how to crack down on us.
"If a person becomes ineligible to hold a pistol permit, the Safe Act requires the person to surrender all firearms to police, including all rifles and shotguns for which no license or registration is required." p. 12
A database is essential for enforcement. Registration is essential for the state to enforce Cuomo's law. Confiscation is an option as Cuomo said in January.
